Hello all;

Thanks Pops6927 for the welcome. Just a little bit of info. Bought a Green Mountain Grill last month and am learning. My previous experience is with a smoker I built that used real wood charcoal. It did a good job, but always had trouble with stabilized temps, so bit the bullet and bought the Grn Mtn. I generally BBQ on a 22 inch Weber and have enjoyed the taste of the meat from a whole turkey to hamburgers and hot dogs. Unfortunately a windstorm took it out the other day and its toast.  I like to use mesquite or better yet red oak bark for beef and am trying apple for fish. I decided to join the forum to get some help from the experts. Have been trying to smoke some trout and salmon. A little discourage, but I am sure some one can help.  I must say, I like being able to set the temp and walk away. Did my research and decided on the Grn Mtn due to construction and customer service reviews.

Well, going to leave and post my questions on the forum. (hopefully I can navigate it ok) lol

Thanks again for the welcome.

Hello Gary;

Thank you for the welcome.

Our prayers are with the folks of Texas devastated by the storms.
