New smoker question

I just picked up a pit boss pro series 4, I don’t have a garage to store it, I bought a universal cover for it, since there were no pitboss covers for it at the store, it’s suppose to rain tomorrow, this cover doesn’t reach all the way to the legs, ends around the grease pan, will this cover protect it enough? Worried about water splashing up from the deck and hitting the fan.

Will it be fine or should I wrap around the legs with something?

It will be fine, I left my pellet grill out all winter this year covered with a cover that didn't cover the bottom. It was fine, even the pellets that I forgot to unload were dry and burnt fine.

Just take the cover off the day after it rains, let the sun help dry it off/out.
