Well tomorrow I am planning going to Gander Mtn to pick up a Camp Chef 24 gasser and I ordered a Maverick ET732 so i can monitor my meat temp remotely.
Going to Costco to pick up a bone-in Pork shoulder.
My question is what all do i need...equipment wise? Anything essential that I am missing.....I have never done this before so assume nothing :)
Also are there any good Thermos for monitoring the temp of the smoker? Everything i read says that builtin thermos on all smokers suck....so how do I determine what my temp is? I bought the Mav 732, but those probes will be in the meat, so thats not really helpful should my flame go out and the smoker temp drop.
