Well...My wife has done it. She kicked my smoker off the back verandah, some excuse about our house always smelling smoke and bacon. Now I can't see a problem with that. House smells good...Anyway, long story short, she has bought me a 3m (almost 10') by 2.26m (7.5') zinc alum shed....She isn't going to see me for months

Firstly I am going to get my smoker oven in there BUT, here is the catch, My oven has no chimney, so I am going to run pipes from the back of my gas smoker oven, to the side of my (yet to build) cold smoke chamber. I am also going to put a gas burner off set, from my (soon to be built) cold smoker (give it some versatility...I will be able to accurately control the temperature in the chamber, without the smoke temperature affecting it...That way if I need to semi dry sausages I can,) essentially, if my setup works, it will be a hot/cold smoker...Depending on the job. Best part is, my smoking shed, has enough left over space for me to experiment with home brewing...

Will post pics, as it comes together....

Sweet!!!! Congratulations on having a wife who’s not so understanding, but has inadvertently given you your own man toy box….Must be nice !!!!

Kind of happy...Shed is done, smoker in it, and JOYOUS that once I put my smoker in it, it stays at around the 90 degree F mark, just with the doors closed ...So, I may just pop some wood panelling along the inside, and put some racks in :)

Here is some pics...

Notice the dirt floor? I figured dirt would be better than concrete in case I spilt fat/grease etc...I could just dig it out :D
