On the south side of Fort Worth just off Crowley Road exit on I 20, called
Their menu:
(hopefully you can read it..)
Bought two 2-meat dinners, one was ribs and brisket with two sides (beans and mac/cheese) the other was 2 helpings of ribs w/same sides. While waiting, I talked to Joseph, the owner. They'd been in business since Nov. of last year, remodeled an old Whataburger into a very nice restaurant. They said business was picking up steadily; last night they had 'Jazz Night' with a Jazz band and the place was packed. They smoke all their meats with pecan.
The ribs were very tender yet moist; sauce was on the side, had great smoke ring. Flavor was delicate, pecan was not as pronounced as a hickory or mesquite; my wife enjoyed them very much as she's not as robust a Q eater as me! I would have liked a little more smoke, but even so they were still very good. I sampled her brisket and that too was very tender and a good medium flavor, good smoke ring too. Only negative was the mac and cheese; it was bland and lacked body. Beans were homemade and right to my liking; had good amounts of onion in 'em! (too much for the wife tho). It was pounds of a meal, wife could only eat half; I gulped down mine but couldn't walk for a couple hours after without listing pretty bad!
But, the best part, here was the bill:
For all the food we got, that was pretty reasonable!
