Welcome from Kentucky!

All the pros and cons of pellet smokers can be found here on SMF.

I have a Camp Chef SG24 WIFI. It doesn't deliver the same flavor as my stick burner, but I find it a fair trade for convenience most of the time.

Welcome .
looking to purchase a new smoker-preferably a pellet
Pellet smokers are a great choice , and have their place . I have a Weber SmokeFire , but as you see above , there are alot of great brands out there .
When I was looking to get one , I made a list of the features I wanted .
Rec Tec was the first crossed off the list . Great smoker , but lacked in the things I wanted . It came down to Camp Chef and Weber , and I ended up with the Weber because they offered some add ons for free .
Just because I like the Weber doesn't mean you will . So make a list of features you want , then edit your list . Take all the opinions into account , and make your choice .
Nothing wrong with Pitt Boss either . Nice rig .

I'm also kinda cheap. Leaves me more money for all these damned enablers here.
I stood in front of the newer Pitt Boss at Lowes . Not one thing wrong with that , especialy for the price . I think it was the 800 ?

Mine is about 6 years old now I think. Was$600 after a rebate. No wifi or anything but a solid unit. Ignitor went out so I torch start it but that didn't bother me.

You know, I think that's what kept me from pulling the trigger on a Recteq, despite knowing how well loved it is. Also am a Weber fan at heart, since it's what my dad first taught me how to grill on. Maybe you've just convinced me to go the SmokeFire route. Perhaps I'll wait for the Smoque.

Welcome from Colorado. Don't have a pellet cooker myself, but there are plenty of guys here that can share good advice on em.
