New member delay in posting posts?

Ok i understand we need to keep spammers away. but i have proved I am not one. i make posts with pics and am told since I am new there will be a delay in my posts. then they never show up. Very frustrating.

45 minutes ago i added to my thread twice....still nothing. i need to know if the trailer axle will work.....

A moderator should come along and approve your first few posts.  After that you'll be free and clear.  I know it's frusterating - we all experienced it.  ...but it does get better quickly.

it seemed the block was lifted yesterday, but today its started again, and now my posts wont show on my own build thread....but they show up on others?

SW, evening again..... You are  new here..... folks are answering all your question as fast as you put them out there...  Have you noticed how friendly the forum is ???  And free from spam ??? and free from other stuff....  Think about what you are asking when you look at the total concept of the forum.....  This is the best forum on the web and we intend to keep it that way..... 

By the way, buy the axles...... both of them.......

First off if it doesn't allow you to post a message doing it over and over again will not get it up. We get emailed when stuff is held and get it approved as soon as possible. All of you stuff minus the duplicate that I had to delete out are on the forum.

Im sorry if the spam filter is a inconvenience to you as it is not designed to do that but is designed to keep the forum clean. Is it sensitive? Yes.

Im sure someone will be able to answer your question very soon.

Could it be there is something glitchy going on with the SMF today? Both at work today and at home this evening, I've noticed some posts duplicated on the home page AND some pictures not loading when I open a thread to read and view it. It doesn't happen all the time, but here and there. Just a thought.

Earlier today I got a message that maintenance was being done. There are times in the past few days that mine are slow to show. It will get better....and shows we are a busy happy group!:biggrin:

I've been seeing a lot of posts being held lately that shouldn't be held. Usually it's just posts with pictures or links or smileys but I'm seeing posts with just a few words from someone who has been around awhile being held. I guess the software is just extra sensitive lately.

SmokinWelder, there is not a hold on you and nothing to be lifted, the software just does it and it kind of has a mind of it's own. Hang in there buddy and we will get to your posts as fast as we can. I just thought of this and I am just guessing here but since you first signed up here you have been posting a lot of pictures (I know because I have validated a lot of your posts) and I wonder if the software has picked up on that and is holding yours more because of so many pictures. Just a thought. We feel for you and want you to continue to be a member here so Please bear with our software, it will get better!
