Hello,

New forum member from South Carolina, Been reading and learning all kind of good things from the site.

Been grilling/smoking for years, just didn't know about the site.

The information I see here will earn us all Degree's in specialty cooking, all based on direct experience. I like the parts of the site where you are advised of what NOT to do, or some one advises what they tried and didn't work out to well.

Gotta go, need to learn more from here.

Thanks for allowing me to join!!!

Mike

Welcome Mike. I am looking forward to the sharing of your smoking adventures on here. There are alot of good people on the forum with a wealth of advice. Don't be afraid to jump in and ask questions or related your suggests. Again, welcome and have fun.

Bought a new smoker last weekend, BBQ Grillware Vertical Smoker (propane) from lowes, It replaced a bullet smoker.

This smoker, after seasoning, was stocked up full for the first use, I smoked one turkey breast, 6 chicken breasts (boneless/skinless), tuna, and salmon. Used apple wood chips soaked in apple juice, placed the used juice in the water bowl and filled it with water.

The smoker has a temp guage and full control over the heat. I had the light blue smoke start coming out in about 20 minutes. It lasted for hours. Everything came out right. This smoker allows you to change out foods if you desire and is extremley easy to clean. (everything sprayed with Pam first) It has 5 grates above the water bowl and a cast iron smoking box directly over the Brass burner.

Took a chance by doing so much food first time out, But my neighbor and I both use smokers and we teamed up and decided we could probably get away with it.

After the Bullet, this thing is the cats meow for what level of use I have. Couldn't be happier with it.

Well as above/ or previous post, Going to cruise around the site and learn more.

Mike
