When I bought my 38208G, I went ahead and bought a preassembled Bayou Classic 0-30 PSI Adjustible Regulator/Hose Assembly (), which has/a 3/8" inner diameter female fitting at the burner end. Apparently that's their standard fitting.

However, the Smoke Hollow has a visibly smaller fitting (1/2"? I didn't take it off) where the gas line connects to the burner control.

Is this something that's fixable or do I start over?

Take accurate measurements then run to a hardware store or big box like Home Depot and find a step down fitting to connect the two.
