My mom gave me a roasting pan, and I'm trying to figure out what its made out of. There is a few stampings on the bottom, but it doesnt specify the material. The lid for it says "Classic Collection - Magnalite"

Can anyone help me figure out what this is? Would it be ok to use to cure some meat in?

Thanks in advance,
CKH

I think it's aluminum, but not sure if its anodized...

If it's the 18 inch oval roaster, then it's aluminium, and you wouldn't want to use it for curing. Get a glass piece and be safe.

I wen't ta my local box mart an stopped by the bakery, Got some 2 an 3 gallon buckets what had icen in em, they gave me the buckets an lids fer free. Great fer brinin.

I'm guessin thats an aluminum roaster, ya don't wanna use that fer brinin cause it can react with the solution an give ya an off taste. Got a picture a it?
