need input on fridge build

 i have a friend who just got an old fridge all metal inside. now my question can we leave the painted metal interior and be ok or not?

Without a pic we cant really tell what the inside is painted with. Mine is the porcelain and it's fine, touched up a few of the bad spots with grill paint and once it's seasoned...wont be able to tell.

My guess...as long as it doesnt get super hot I would think it should be ok, but then again I am no expert!

I have'nt seen it yet just goin off what he says and it sounds like enamel coated. i kinda figured the same thing enamel should b fine.

It will be fine. I did not remove the enamel in mine. I seasoned it well before I actually hung salami in it. The smoke soot coated it well.
