The high land is smaller than the longhorn by about 180sq. hopefully mods have been done. I had longhorn reverse flow. is the smoke stack on the firebox side or the opposite end. If it is reverse flow ( chimney on firebox end) hopefully they included the reverse flow plates. then ones that come with it new are "Adequate" but there are aftermarket ones available. I did a gaskets between the firebox and cooking chamber and rtv on the leaky spots, as well as gaskets on the lid. I'm a weirdo so I also put lid clamps on the lid for a tight fit. good luck with it. there's a few good posts on BBQ bretheren site.

Ok I have figured it out, I got the Highland Model, Did the old measuring tape test, No mods were done other than gaskets on doors, ( rotted or dried up now ). Its a little rough at the moment, I'll get it back in shape, Just surface rust, dirty etc.

You don't really need the previously added door gaskets. Mine runs fine as is. Just clean it up, give the outside a new paint job and clean and re-season the inside of the cook chamber. Replace the grates if they need it.
