I recently purchased a ThermoPro TP08 around 2 months ago, it has been good so far, I've used it extensively. Unfortunately today I took it out to use and found one of the probes is reading approximately 130F too high. I conducted a test using an ice water bath and one probe read 34F while the other read 162F. I reversed which ports the probes were connected to and the problem followed the probe. I attempted to locate in the manual a way to calibrate the thermometer without success. As far as I can tell, is not a feature of the product.

With that said, does anyone have any suggestions for wireless thermometers that they use that have proven exceptional? I would prefer to have a wireless thermometer with multiple probes. I also desire the ability to calibrate the device myself.

Regards,
AG

One of the sponsors on here is INKBIRD, they make a very accurate therm. I have one of the Bluetooth 4 probe units & it is dead on accurate. The best thing is they are usually running some kind of promotion & you can get a discount price, but they are very inexpensive anyway. Search Inkbird coupon & see what comes up.

If the problem followed the probe to the other port, then wouldn't you need a new probe not a new thermometer? Before 2017 I believe the Thermopro therms had a lifetime probe guarantee and then went to three years.

Your Thermopro TP-08 is two months old. It may have a three year warranty like my TP-19 instant read therm. TP-19 is like the Thermapen MK4 with rotating screen and very fast.

I agree with all above. I have the Thermapen classic instant read, and the Inkbird 4 probe as well as the Inkbird instant read. The Inkbird products are as good and accurate as the more expensive brands. Like Al said, we will have to see if they can stand the test of time, like all of us lol.
First if it's only 2 months old, definitely try for warranty replacement first, like Kurt said.
Let us know how you make out.

So I did contact ThermoPro about the warranty, and it was quick and easy to request a replacement. Unfortunately they were out of stock of probe. I was told there would be a 2 week delay on the shipment of a replacement.

I have just about all the Inkbird products now. If you decide to buy a new one they have a WiFi one now. Cost more but can leave the house and still monitor.
