My Weber Performer ver1 finally couldn't be put back together again. I'm going ELECTRIC!

Having had  made history around here with my old Performer. The parts are becoming problematic (I have seen pics of rebuilts) and it's Winter. I researched and got the, new for this year, Masterbuilt mdl 20071514,1100 watt ,NO window. The Smokers and More subforum shows its image as a Master Forge?!?

I saw master forge at lowes and dismissed it. My job with AT&T has me in a lot of backyards and the owners of these people with Masterbuilt electrics are a fevered breed. So I don't have a smoke ring (lacking CO) and I'm not being judged around here on that. It's the ability to eat a Butt with Ritz crackers as the spoon!

I'm looking for new techniques here. Aromatics I like.
