My Smoking Shack finally gets a cement pad.

I finally pulled the trigger and poured a cement slab  for under my smoke shack. I was so sick of the uneven ground, the mud and having to fight to get the door open on the  grass/dirt. My buddies poured a 10x10 slab last week and I am very happy with how it turned out. I can't wait to fire up the shack and try it out.

Looks like there's room for a couple of chairs & a cooler of beer too!

Yep there should be room. The only bad thing is that winter is coming soon. I normally use the smoke shack in the winter mostly so I don't know how much sitting around the smoker I will get to do unless I bundle up really good. Also we are looking for a new house so with my luck I will finally have poured the slab and then we will move. Oh well that area was so low and the grass wouldn't grow so it should help the overall appearance of the house for selling it.

One thing to remember when filling that thermos, my old fishing buddy said.  Don't forget that brandy is cheaper than coffee!

I did most of it but I had a buddy help me with pouring the cement since he has access to all of the tools needed which was nice. So rather then spending $650 to hire someone to do the work I got by for under $200. Works for me.
