Long story short. I ended up with 2 smokers for the price of one. I ordered the smoker. And the next day I got a notice that the seller canceled my order and refunded my money with no explanation given. I contacted them. And asked why it was cancelled. They said they didn't. I waited a couple of days to see if this would be resolved. It didn't. So I went and ordered another from a different vendor. Well, a few days after I received the smoker from my second purchase. Another one showed up from the original vendor. They didn't want to spend the shipping costs for it to be returned. By the time they would have paid three times for shipping the cost wasn't worth it. So, then, I scored a sweet deal on a PID controller, free. This controller can do up to 8 ramp/soak settings. After digging around in my garage I found a plastic enclosure that'll work. A touch big. But not a problem. Now I just need the SSR, heat sink, and a thermo coupling. I have no idea what I'm going to do with this smoker. Though I do know this controller is going on the one I already built.

Parts on order. Got the cut outs in for the cord for the smoker.

Scrubbed the plastic box and found a decent metal one for the build. Holes are cut. Parts are in. Just need to wire it up. And I'm waiting for the thermocouple to arrive.
