Hey Everybody,
Had it couple weeks now. 2 smokes in. 1 small brisket. 1 pork butt. Im ok with 1st results. Pork butt turned out better , stayed on grill the whole time. I wrapped the brisket at 160 and brought in the house. I know, I need pics, sorry.
Im finding it hard to maintain 225 to 250. 300 to 350 no problem. Probably why the more forgiving butt turned out better.
Im having a charcoal basket 14x14x8 made. Hoping the lower temps are easier to reach. I really didn't mind tending the fire like i thought i would. I was gonna get a WSM , when I found this. Its small vertical design was what I wanted. I'm hoping the charcoal box works as efficiently in this as the Weber. Anyway, Ive spent hours reading on this site so I figured I would become a member and say hey.

I buned wood splits on my first 2 smokes. Im having a charcoal basket made for it.
