my first smoke new grill

It started raining on me. I moved smoker into garage. I couldn't really get over 225 that's when I added more charcoal. Went 200 for about 2.5 hrs then was running out fuel didn't want to make another chimney full. Gave them about 7 mins in the side box to finish them off.

what kind of charcoal pan does that have? maybe you need a bigger one?     maybe a basket ,  like made from expanded metal?

That's what I'm thinking it has a rack with huge holes I put some foil around for easy clean up and to keep from falling through. Made about 15 holes for some air flow.
