Thanks Mike.

I ordered a small pack today and some cure.   It was a small pack.   Said it was enough to do 25lbs.   That will do me a while.   I've still got to find me a stuffer.    I'm looking at the 5lb.  Grizzly.   Everyone seems to like it.   No more then I'll do, it'll probably be all I need.   I've looked on ebay and craigslist.

The 5 lb stuffer should work great... for a while

Start saving for a larger one! Good smoking!

Thanks for the info Dave I'll keep that in mind.

I'm still looking.  I've learned over time not to rush into things.

Mike, I'll start small and wear it out, then maybe bigger.  :-)

Wes, If you grease the o-ring with crisco or something like that, and add moisture to the sausage so it squeezes easily through the tubes..... AND don't bottom it out when stuffing, I do believe it will outlast you and be passed down to someone....   Dave

Like Dave said?  I give the O ring a light coating when I use it.  Then I carefully wash it off when I am done.  Then reapply and wash with each use.

So far so good.  Do not store it with vege oil on it or you might have rancidity problems.  After the first load, the natural fat from your sausage will give plenty of lube for successive loads through the stuffer.

Obviously don't bottom out the unit and keep cranking?

What was the old saying?  If it doesn't fit, force it.  If it breaks, it needed replacing anyway?

I wouldn't recommend that?
