I was reading through some old threads the other day and someone mentioned smoking stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Never thought of that, and I love stuffed mushrooms. Anybody done it?? I'm kinda lost here, so any help re: smoking time and temp and the best wood to use would really be helpful.

I run the smoker at 275° with what ever wood I have handy. I like just simple stove top stuffing precooked with the stems cup up and added. Then I top with bacon or cheese, even olives some times.

Happy smoken.

Another way I like them is to mix in zip lock bag.

1/2 cup Worcestershire

1/2 cup EVOO

1 T kosher salt

1 T seasoned salt

1 T garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

put in fridge for a couple of hours turning a few times to coat. Then stuff or just smoke.

Happy smoken.

They are especially good with Morels . I'd love to find some 'wild 'shrooms' , but around here you get shot looking on someone's place . I don't know any one that well to get some from , so I watch the Markets . . .

David's recipe is good
