My version of them. Normally made with ground pork.

Easy recipe.
Ground pork or beef 1lb
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup yellow corn meal
S&P

I didnt have any ground pork so i used ground brisket.

Make em thin. You can pan fry or deep fry.

I just went with mustard but you can add whatever you like.

Not bad but next time try the pork.

I bet it would great with ground pork. Maybe a bit of garlic, too. I like the idea of the cornmeal
 
Growing up my mother would make them with Flour and Oats. She called them Slugburgers. My brother and I thought she was making that word up! (We just to each other and whispered other that it was meatloaf) Thanks for the memory.

That name is a little scary!!
I thought, "Slugburgers"---Yuck, Who would eat those ugly things??? Eating Slugs would be worse than eating Snails!!!

Hey that looks like my 10-inch Lodge skillet.

When my mother was pregnant with me, she craved corn. I think that explains a lot.
