Gentleman and Ladies, I have a question concerning inside height of the MES 40. I like to hang my packer brisket to smoke. Is there room to hang it in this size smoker. Thanks for your time. JC

I think I would just put it on a rack, and put the thick end toward the hottest part of the smoker.
Don't forget to put a pan under it to catch that wonderful juice!

Never saw the need but only way to tell is measure .,im not home at this time to ck but never hang nothing but sausages in mine a little trimming would make it fit and grind the trimmings for a burger while the brisket smokes

I just load mine in. “Juice tray” for the drippings. 11 hours later, Heaven.

Thanks for the replies. Picked up the unit Friday at Home Depot and am getting it set up. I'm building a stand to make it easier for this 76 yo to use. I've had an old stickburner I built so I could do ribs in the barrel while I'm smoking a brisket in the upright chamber. I prefer hanging the brisket, just my personal choice. But get tired of tending the fire for 20 hours. That's the reason for the Masterbilt. Thanks again, James C.
