My replacement MES 40 2nd Gen is operating at temps well above 275°, same as the 1st one I purchased.
When I originally called Masterbuilt, they wanted me to cut the cord, remove the plate, and send them in. In-turn, they will send me a new body kit and controller. I elected to return my original MES 40 to SAMS for a replacement. The replacement from SAMS is also defective, and SAMS no longer carries the MES 40. I now have to deal with Masterbuilt directly, and have to send in the cord and plate, for a new body. The This seems to be a big waste of time, if the new body kits perform the same as the previous version.
Has anyone who has received a "Body Kit" & Controller for their New 2012 2nd Gen MES 40 seen an improvement?
Are these new bodies still operating at temps well above 275°?
