MES 130 amperage usage?

Anybody know what the amperage is on a typical MES 30"?

At 120 VAC 11.7 Amps

Assuming you have a 1400 Watt element which is what I think MES 30 smokers use.

If it is an 800 watt heater, your unit will draw 6.7 Amps @ 120VAC

so if its 1400 watt / 120v = 11.66Amps...

My mes 30 has 1500 watt burner so its 12.5 amps. Tag on back of smoker has it listed, unless yours is missing

I just got an auber ws 1510 elpm, rated at 15 amps, only had a chance to use it once but got temp swings down to 10 degrees. Know I can get them closer but need time to use it and play with the settings. Think you would really like it. tallbm and chopsaw are really knowledgeable about them and sure there are others as well.

not sure whitch auber instrument PID i'm going to get, but thinking that's the route for me.
