I am from southwest Tennessee; about an hour from Memphis.

I joined this forum because I am on a quest and I need other folks from the Memphis/West Tennessee area to help me.

Those of you who live in West Tennessee are most likely familiar with the little road-side "hole-in-the-wall" barbecue shacks. Those of you who have had the pleasure of eating at one of these places knows the owners use a very thin, but flavorful HOT barbecue sauce on their sandwiches.

I am trying to find a recipe of that type to make up and put on my home-made BBQ sandwiches. I found a decent sauce by Patrick Neely, but it's not the same thing. The sauce I'm talking about is really runny and dog-gone delicious.

Of course the actual owners won't tell how they make that sauce. I'm hoping somebody NOT in business has such a recipe they'd share with me. Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Forgot to tell ya,I put it in empty soy sauce bottles. To give you an idea of the thickness,it comes out that little hole when shaken.o_O

This is what it looks like,as featured in: https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/threads/beatrice-butt-goes-to-the-weekend-spa.270446/

Wow!! Looks yummy!
I have some of those squeeze bottles like you see for ketchup in a restaurant

Another forum member suggested I use tomato paste in place of Ketchup to cut down on the sugar so the heat from my cayenne can come through better. Also I'm type-2 diabetic.
