Hi,

I just acquired a vintage NOS Enterprise #10 manual meat grinder. It came with 3/16" grinding plate but I would like to buy some different sizes. Any recommendations would greatly be appreciated and I would really like to buy American but would also consider other quality options.

Have you tried it out yet? I have a vintage Universal and a Keystone that must be pushing 100 years old, and a 30 year old cast aluminum one from The Sausage Maker. They do work, but you do too. I remember my Grandparents using the old ones but didn't realize how much work they really are until I tried one out.

Being an Enterprise brand I bet plates are available. Hopefully you can find ones that are drilled and not cast, the holes on cast plates are rough and hard to clean.

Can't help with plates. But, old grinders bring back memories.

Grandma Minny , was a feisty woman. Old school, off the boat Polish..." Strong Like Bull " and a Sharp Tongue to match.
Grandma could turn the grinder, but figured, that's what Grandkids were for. Some of my earliest and favorite memories, of working with Grandma in the kitchen, was Turning the Grinder. A little kid gets strong arms quick grinding 50 pounds of Pork for Kielbasa!...JJ

Thanks for the replies everyone, I live in an apartment so an electric unit is a no-go. I also really dig vintage stuff and don't mind working a bit, famous last words :D.
