I recently purchased a pitts n spitts smoker/grill…looks to be patterned after Traeger..my concern is, it doesn’t seem to produce a lot of smoke….should I force feed the auger or is this just the nature i]of the beast.

You don't want a lot of smoke. If after some trail and error, you want more smoke flavor get a tube. Use 100% wood pellets, not flavored filler wood. Try the different types that are available. Apple, oak, hickory, mesquite etc all offer a different flavor.

I'm not sure of your experience with smokers but pellet units product less smoke than charcoal or stick burners. As above try different pellets and get a tube to augment the cooker. Pitts and Spits is a good brand of pellet so that's not an issue

On a pellet grill, the lower you set the temp, the more smoke you will get. I tend to start out a cook on the pellet grill at the lowest setting for an hour or two, to get some smoke flavor going, then bump the temp up.
