ok so i lost the clip that holds the smoker probe inside smoker -  i'm sure i'm not the first [or last] to do this - anybody know something i can buy at the hardware store to replace it? - i don't like it just hanging inside - thanks for the help

A lot of people use a small onion or potato to hold it, just poke it through and set it on the rack. You can also use a small block of wood with a hole drilled in it.

Perhaps try pushing it through a potato or apple slice? Also maybe a piece of sponge or foam that is slightly bigger than the gaps of your grates so you can wedge it into place. Just a thought...hope it helps.

use like a piece of apple or oak vs something like pine just to make sure you don't get foul smoke? - thanks for your help
