I went to my local meijer store tonight and saw a Taylor Thermometer looked kind of cheep, (plastic coated wire from the thermometer to the probe, etc.) So I went with a Maverick ET-81 , Says Roasting Thermometer..

Anyone have or used one of these???

I just looked it up ... not for me.

I'm using the Maverick ET-73 because it has 2 remote probes ... 1 for smoker and 1 for meat.

my,02 worth

I also have the ET-73... never used the ET-81. It has a single probe I think?

Well I guess maybe I will return this therm. and get me a ET-73 That wat I won't have to spend an extra $25 for a gauge for the smoker

Thanks I'm really liking this group..
