Just got the thermometer in the mail. I was wondering how people use this with their UDS. In the instructions it says not to crush under lid when putting stainless wires into the smoker for food and bbq temps. The only way i see to put the probes in would be right under the lid. And i have to put my lid on tight. What did other people do for their UDS Smokers that use the ET 732. Thanks

I have the same deal. Take a Dremel tool with a thin cutting disc or even a hacksaw will work and cut a small indentation/notch in the lip of your drum. Wires fit good and very little heat loss. Might work for you.

Find a pass through gromment.

Cut a whole using a mandrill through the body of the smoker sized to fit the pass thru and place a high heat grommet in there. I had this done when I ordered my Smoker from Yoder and they put on a nice fitting to match. I can fit a lot of probes through there with ease and no smoke or heat will escape.
