Building a smoker out of a food grade 55 gallon drum. Is it safe to use automotive exhaust pipe for the intake and exhaust?

Typically stock exhaust pipe is 400-series steel, there could be several options for after market exhaust. Have you thought about just buying bolt-on intakes and exhaust vents? THESE GUYS have some good options to customize a drum.

I used a chrome exhaust tip for my exhaust stack. I used 3/4" ball valves for the intake.

Does the food grade drum have a liner in it? Pretty sure you will need to remove it if it does good luck on the build
