Hello all! I have a question concerning my smoker. Is it possible to use wood chunks in this type of propane/charcoal smoker because the wood chips gets eaten up by this thing.

I bought mine this spring, and have only used chunks in it.  Everything I've made (pork shoulders, chickens, pastrami, beef shoulder, pork loin) has been great.

Tomorrow will see 12# of bacon, 6# of Canadian bacon, 2 racks of ribs (1 St. Louis, 1 Baby Back) and a chicken.  Should be an all day endeavor.

I only use chunks in my gasser too.

However to get the smoke rolling right away I put a mix of chips & chunks in it.

Then switch to just chunks.

Here is the setup I use.

Hope this helps!

Al
