Hi all, I am not sure if a brit is aloud on here but I'm running out of options. I have had a masterbuilt smoker for about 3 years, it always did a decent job compared to the charcoal one I had previously. I then bought a bigger version, sold as spares or repair as it wasn't working. It's never been used and after checking it out, I came to the solution it was the power circuit board faulty. I have tried to buy a new one but I cannot find any details on it. In the end I had a look at my old smoker and the circuit board was identical. Swapped the new for the old and now the new one works but I want to give my old one to my grandson. Does anyone know where I can find the attached? The smoker model is MB20077118, there's not much on the circuit board serial number wise apart from OZK-1.5 which I can't find anywhere. Including masterbuilt website, that doesn't even have the smoker serial number so I'm not sure what to do.

Being across the pond your options are pretty limited I assume.
You could try:

One thing you could do is the Simple Rewire and bypass the circuit board altogether and use a PID controller.This will give you the ability set temp and hold at +/- 1degree of set temp and give you much better control over your smoker.Again being across the pond this may difficult.A couple of guys you need to get a hold of here

I must admit the temperature of the controller is not as accurate as I thought, I set it to 70C Just to test it and although the heater turned off bang on 70C the temperature then continued up to 83C before gradually going down to 70C.

I'm all about the rewire of a Masterbuilt smoker (MES) to work with a PID controller.
I think US amazon may have some circuit boards these days and my guess is this would work for yours, but not sure. It lists model MB20077118 which is 1 digit off from yours and I couldnt even find your model on a google search.
If you can find a ready made PID controller there in the UK like the ones Auber makes here: https://www.auberins.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=14_28&products_id=110
Then you are 2 wire nuts away from your old smoker working AND working better than your new MES you just put that circuit board into :D
Honestly the best electric smoker you can find is one for cheap or free (like your new one) where you just rewire and slap a PID controller on it.
It will work 25x better than anything Masterbuilt builds new and better than electric smokers that cost over $1,000 USD brand new (MES in the US is like $240-$350 USD or so I think).
When these things are rewired and controlled by a PID controller they will hit and hold dead on or +/- 1 degree of your set temp.
You will have no temp swings and such tight control you can do bacon, sausage, jerky, and other temp sensitive smokes with assurance that the machine will do it's part without issue.
I always say it's like turning a golf cart into a Ferrari :D
If you like messing around with wiring and some simple components you can buy all the parts and assemble your own PID controller as well. It's a fun project and pays off with you being able to turn an MES into a beast and keep one going through anything short of it being hit by a car!!!
This means you could but that circuit board back in the old MES and gift it away and then rewire and slap on a PID controller to the new MES and you get to keep the better of the two :D
