i have a Masterbuilt for a few years & like it, but the tray to hold wood chips is so damn small. The control panel broke again so looking at new smokers. The new Masterbuilts still has a really small tray. I’m considering a pellet or puck smoker. I have a wood side box but only use for big dinner Thoughts?

You can resurrect your Masterbuilt with a Inkbird PID controller and solid state relay.(very inexpensive like $20 buck or so). They are also a sponsor here. Your temp will never get more than a few degrees out. Then add the "external" mailbox for amps or tube smoker with a 3-1/2-4" duct to the cabinet. Work everytime and all the time. You will not be dissappointed and it is rather easy to do it youself.Need any help on the hookup just ask. Here is a couple pictures of mine as a guideline. https://www.smokingmeatforums.com/media/img_2108.554354/full
