Masterbuilt mws 330s Pellet Smoker

I have Masterbuilt mws 330s Pellet Smoker. It starts up and the auger moves pellet. I set the temperature, time and smoke time. When I set the temp to 225 the temp kept raising and would not stop raising until the digital readout had an error. I have tried to contact Masterbuilt Customer Service via email and phone to no avail. Could someone help me out? TIA

The vertical Masterbuilts can be finicky on start up. Most overtemps are from not having some steel flame diverters in place. The vertical layout and placement of the temp sensor exacerbates this problem. But put in too much stuff (chip tray, water tray, etc) and you can err on undertemp, which just means it's taking too long to get to your setpoint.

So did you ever get satisfaction on your Masterbuilt contacts? From the Amazon reviews I sense a lot of people return them, resulting in some outstanding (like $120!) deals at the end of summer. I got a refurb 330B for $145 delivered. It had clearly been repackaged in unmarked cardboard, possibly cleaned or painted. Someone didn't like it. But it's worked out great for me.
