That is the 30" older style MES "Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse", it has a digital controlled heat, with built in sensor to cycle when set temp is achieved, you can add wood chips via an external tube without having to open the door, stainless inside, water pan / drip pan and cooking racks included.  This is the smoker that Masterbuilt built it's good reputation on.

Yes you would be buying a very good smoker, the extra features of the updated model will not smoke the meat any better.  The only other model you might consider is the 40" version.

Add the AWNPS smoke accessory and a Maverick ET-732 dual probe wireless remote thermometer, and you have a top smoking system.

The majority of this Electric Forum members are owners of Masterbuilt MES either 30" or 40".
