Masterbuilt cold smoker attachment with pellets

Can i use pellets in my cold smoker attatchment for my 30" masterbuilt smoker? Chips keep cl9gging in the chute and it doesnt seem like im getting the smoke out of it that i want vs, ising the pan in the smoker which i dont like using necause you have to refill all the time or you dont get smoke when thw heating elelemnt shuts off inside the smoker, so i salways run my cold amoke attatchment.
