master forge electric smoker/grill

Hi my name is Tanya and I just bought a new smoker the other day and it was turned on for the first time today to warm it up for the first two hours and the temp stayed around 220 degrees on high. My question is doesn't it suppose to get hotter than that on high. Please help. I don't know what to think. I'm worried that something is wrong with it. Thanks.
