Picked up an LEM #10 stainless hand grinder today. It's an LEM 683 but it says TSM on the tube. Seems solid and I think that it will be fun for small batches. The previous owner must have cranked it down too tight as there are faint grooves on one side of the coarse plate. Spent a while on the diamond plate trying to remove them with little luck. Those plates are HARD! The knife sharpened up easily and the other side of the plate was fine. Stainless was the big selling point since It can be sterilized in the dishwasher.

Anybody familiar with this one?

Thanks

KB, I'm not familiar with that model but I know you can buy replacement or different size plates and knives for a #10.

Thanks. Talked to the guys at LEM today and this was sold around 2006. Knives and plates interchange with standard 10/12 parts.

No experience with that particular model, but I have an Alfa brand cast iron that is galvanized in #10 and have ground tons of meat with it over the last 30 or so years. They are handy.
