That is freaking awful. He must have hit his head or something to not get out of there. Or maybe alcohol had a part to play? Either way, what a terrible way to go.

saw this last night on the news.......
from what i saw from the short video clip taken from the chopper, there was a fire still going. this confused me cuz from what i remember my uncle always dug the hole, built up a bed of coals, put the pig in the ground, covered the pig with sheet metal and a little dirt, added more coals, then coered the pit completely with earth until the next day. this looked like a dug out tunnel with a small hole....not sure.

Yup I heard on the local news this am,was a 3 ft. deep pit-fell in and the helping hands hosed him down with water causing worse problems-and ya I thinking drinking musta been involved.

I understand how horrible it is to die in a fire, but when my time is up on this earth I hope i go doing something that I love to do...
