Mama bear and cubs at the front door!

You know it! Keep them in the garage. Bears are funny creatures. One walked the deck railing to get to a hummingbird feeder, drank it dry then tossed it off the deck.

They are funny creatures for sure. Our neighbor had a mountain lion under his ATV trailer yesterday. It must have got hit on the highway and was hiding out. He walked out in his field and it swiped at his leg and ripped his pants. Good thing it was hurt pretty bad or he would have had a hell of a fight in his hands.

Funny story, years ago my wife worked at the DOW. With the game damage unit. One day she was in the room when a Warden got a phone call from a very upset land owner saying he shot a problem bear and for The Warden to get his a$$ up there and remove his bear. The Warden was not impressed until he asked the land owner where the bear was located, to which the owner replied “on my damn living room floor! Warden say “”oh damn I’ll be right there”
The bear had stood up and pushed on a large plate glass window breaking it which was when the owner opened fire.

WOA! Yeah, Ive read many stories about bears getting into cars, homes etc. they are pretty crafty and persistent.

We had this guy walk hanging outside the front door when my wife spooked him by opening the front door! This was Around 6 or 7 PM too. We keep the sliders locked much earlier now too.

I did some work up in northern Quebec a few years back. All the houses are on stilts and stand around 4' above ground. It was winter time so I was told to always check under the house before venturing too far away from them. Apparently polar bears will wander into the village and hang out under the house. Fortunately I never experienced one while there.
