Well decided to do a few smoked burgers & some smoked Cajun bbq cheez-its for lunch.

Using the Pit Boss Sportsman 1100.

Couple pics for you all 😁

Nice I've done homemade Chex-mix before and it's real good. I bet those will be also. Make sure to give them a stir every once in a while.

Point for sure

Yes been stirring & flipping every 15 minutes. Think I'll do a 1½-2hour smoke on them.

Thanks. They are pretty tasty.

Picture of the smoked Cajun bbq cheez-its.

Lmao I might of put a touch too much Cajun in them. They got game in the heat department.

Lol I'm glad I did not use 3tbls spoons.🤣😂🤣

Guys & gals is 1 hour smoke time at 200°F pushing the safety limit of time on smoking burgers?

That's also a reason a flame broiled/seared for 2 minutes.

Thanks.

Good looking burgers and cheezits. I think you are fine on the burgers. An hour to get some smoke flavor on them then a sear to finish off. As long as finish temp is 165 degrees. That’s my opinion, so I’ll defer to some with far more experience than me.

Thanks. I figured the sear to finish the burgers off, would give them much more flavor. Plus needed to hit that 165° for safety.

They were delicious 😋

Look mighty good and hard to beat a smoked burger!

Yeah I tried to make smoked smash burgers the other day, but 30minutes in smoke wasn't enough time/smoke for me.

Soo these burgers here I let smoke a hour at 200°f

The smash burgers were great as well BTW.

Thanks.
