Lowes has kingsford two packs on sale for $9.88! That's 40 pounds of charcoal for under $10!!

Had to pick up a few. They had a limit of 2 so between my wife and I, we picked up 4.

Looks like I might be going back to one of them to pick up a few more! Great deal!

Must be something new?

Home Depot has not had a limit in previous years.

They once asked me if I wanted a pallet on my truck.

Still 10?  That would be 400 LBS at about half normal price.

No room for 400 LBS here, but I would jump on it!

Good luck and good smoking.

I have the room venture but you have to ask yourself how much is enough? I probably use 4-6 twenty pound bags a year. With that said I already had 3 twenty pound bags so I'm at 11 now. Seems like a years supply is enough but like I said I'll probably go back and buy a few more.

Agreed!

I use both KF Blue and RO Lump for different purposes.

Gotta keep the inventory in balance based on usage.

Also based on sale prices or the best price.

A one year supply of each helps me sleep at night!

Decisions? Decisions?

No limit at HD locally.  I have 12 two packs, 480 lbs, plus a 17.8 lb bag of RO in the garage.  Used HD gift cards I received so didn't cost me a penny but still loved that the KBB was less than 25 cents a pound.  I bought enough to last a year because I was using about 30-40 lbs a month on average in one leaky 22.5" WSM.  I could tell that half the fuel I loaded in the WSM would burn up after I shut it down due to the leaks.  Then I installed a gasket kit and a BBQ Guru DigiQ DX2 on the WSM weekend before last.  In two smokes (6 hours at 225F and 2.5 hours at 325F, not including warmup) I may have cut that fuel usage in half or better!  Holy moly is that WSM fuel efficient now.  When I shut it down it goes OUT!  Will be interesting to track usage.  I may have enough KBB for 2 years or more.

I picked up another 80 lbs to go with my 400+, but couldn't find room in the garage for it with the rest. So I put it on the wife's treadmill temporarily, until I could find another spot for it. Big mistake.

Who knew she actually uses the thing? Now all I am hearing is how,  "Blah, blah, blah, we don't need any more charcoal..!"
