Bowling Green Oh
Hi everybody, I'm going to be in NoCal next week on vacation. We'll being staying in Sebastopol for 3 or 4 days than moving over to Bolinas. I'd like to get some Q while were out there, so if any of you can recommend a good joint...lol...please lot me know. Sebastopol is northeast of San Francisco I'm guessing an hr to an hr & 1/2, and Bolinas in north of S.F. about 45 min. Don't really want to go into S.F. Thanks.

Sorry I cannot help you. But have a great vacation. Be safe and have lots of fun in the sun.
Andy.

In the day! I played (gardener) a couple counties north of there(ahhh the day's)grin.your best bet is gonna be Santa Rosa-pretty good size city now-was there last year-not in search of q though.Guy from DD&D's calls SR home .when I lived in the area it was all greens-more ways than just food!BBQ joints woulda been run outta town-but I bet there are some these days-best bet is start searching now-chamber comerse etc-maybe on line yellow pages-good luck and those used to be REAL little towns nestled along the russian river.

I used to live in Sacramento and we used to go to a place called Sandra Dee's. Excelent BBQ. From ribs to chicken to frog legs, all kinds of good stuff.
Check out their website www.sandradeesbbq.com
Hope this helps out!!!!

Keith,
I'm from Sebastopol and my parents live in Occidental, been there for 40 years, there aren't any true BBQ joints anywhere around the area you are traveling that i can think of right off hand. give me 2 days for an answer for sure. I'll ask mom and dad. However, in the town of BODEGA, where A. Hitchcock filmed "birds" go to the Bodega Inn, excellent food! Up north near Salt Point State Park in the community of Timber Cove on HWY1 is the Salt Point Bar and Grill, they have kick butt grilled food items all cooked over oak. As for true BBQ none that i know of in Sonoma or Marin Counties. But, like I said I'll have an positive answer for you tomorrow or the next day. Keith pm me for my phone number and ill give you a personal tour of the area. I only live 90 minutes away.

Thnx 4 the reply Andy, I plan on let n loose next week.

Thanks for the advice desertlites.

Snowcapt, If I make it into Sacramento I'll for sure check out Sandra Dee's. Check them out on the link you posted. Thnx

Dave, I've heard Bodega Inn has good food. And, I've been to Salt Point Bar once and it was packed with people so we don't stay. Maybe will make it over there this trip, earlier in the evening just in case its still the happining place.
Thnx for the offer of the tour,We'll be visiting my sister in law and her husband and they will be with us most of the time. I will pm ya for your number just in case I get some free time. Some vacation uh!

For sure let me know if you come up with the name of any bbq joints.

Thnx for all the info.
