Looking for smoker information for first build...

New guy here so be gentle but also wanting your honest answers. I am torn between building a true smoker, either RF or Offset or a grill/smoker combo? I have been looking around and I think I like the Tejas 2430 model although I have no first hand knowledge about this smoker etc... I have only used store bought smokers like the offset smoker from Oklahoma Joes and the Brinkmin vertical smoker. This will be my first build so I don't really want to screw up and waste time, money and effort. I have acquired some metal and pipe, my main cooking chamber is a 20 in dia pipe 5 feet long. Any advice comments will be appreciated. Thanks!!

:welcome1: you may want to use the search bar and check out some of the builds or to research the Tejas. Many great people here that will steer you in the right direction on your build. Someone should be along shortly.
