looking for a zesty/spicy start for a recipe

Im looking for a sauce that's tomato based with more of a zest or.spice to it than the usual sweet they have. I plan on it being smokey so adding.some bourbon in but not sure how to get that zest to pop without it being overbearing. Anywhoo I plan to use it just as a general.purpose sauce for whatever. Any help would.be swell.

Find and buy Jeff's rub and sauce recipies on this forum. You can't go wrong with it. I use them extensively and sometimes adjust to suite my taste at that particular time.

Pickapeppa Jamaican cane vinegar sauce. It's sweet, tangy and spicy. REALLY good stuff. Also Tiger sauce. Similar, but a little thicker.
