Smoking a 7lb loin for my sons bday party tonight. Need some rub ideas, help!
 
There are thousands of rub recipes on here. Do a little search and pick one.

I'd start with a basic then add as you see fit with other ingredients such as lemon pepper, paprika, sugars, cumin, chipotle, adobo, etc... 

OR try A-1's sweet mesquite (found in most groceries spice section) on top of the basic

Basic:

1 part Kosher salt

1/2 part garlic powder

1/4 part black pepper

Here's a pretty simple rub recipe that we like on pork.  Not my recipe, so credit goes to someone else...don't remember where I found it, but I'm sure it was here at SMF.

Memphis Magic Dust Rub Recipe

Ingredients

 3/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

 3/4 cup white sugar

 1/2 cup paprika

 1/4 cup Morton's kosher salt

 1/4 cup garlic powder

 2 tablespoons ground black pepper

 2 tablespoons ground ginger powder

 2 tablespoons onion powder

 2 teaspoons rosemary powder

Yield, makes about 3 cups.

Also, if you are looking to go with a commercial rub, my new favorite is Simply Marvelous Spicy Apple Rub.  IMO, Very good on pork...especially if you like a little sweet and a little heat.
