Saw this at my local Costco today. Seems like a good price; I believe the $.97 means it's a clearance price. I don't need or have room for one, but someone might.

I hate my foodsaves, they take to long, and the bags leak 75% of the time, in the freezer, even double sealed.

Didn't happen to get some bad bags/roll did you ? I did have a foodsaver roll that was defective. Factory side seam was faulty. Did a bunch of testing and resealed the sides, worked fine. Food saver did send me free roll. Not saying this is your issue by any means.

GIM, IMHO, at 400 dollars I would spend more and get a Vacmaster VP215. Out there online for 780 w/free shipping.

I've had three different units, and have gone through several cases of bags throughout the yrs. The very first unit I had, which was their second unit released, was by far the best unit. I rarely had bags open in the freezer. The other two units, most bags, lose suction with in a few weeks to a few months.
I thought I had to be doing something wrong, so I called foodsaver. They asked me to explain my process to a "T" which I did. I was prefreezing anything with moisture in it. The guy I was talking with said he didn't even do that. In the end they sent me a free replacement unit with updated bags, they leaked eventually as well. Maybe it was just bad luck on my part, I don't know. So until I can buy a better unit I double wrap in plastic wrap, then butcher paper. I haven't lost anything to freezer burn since I started doing so well over a yr ago.
