Well the new regulator didn't fix the problem so until Camp Chef comes up with something my smoker will be in retirement.

Here are today's vittles.

Sorry to hear that didn't solve the problem, Ron. For now, we'll resort to the plan of me smoking something, and sending you some!

Nice looking grub, especially the salmon. I'm not a big fan of that fish but it looks tasty when it's smoked like that!

Sure am sorry ta here that Ron, can't imagine what in tarnation it could be! Just bout gotta be somtuin with that burner, Will they send ya a new burner? Hope they don't keep ya outa commission to long buddy.

The vittles ya fixed sure do look mighty fine though!

Leave the gas and get into wood and charcoal, its a nice experience and the rewards are wonderfull and well earned. The mod process is interesting and fun, and once ya get it dialed in, you are doing it the best way possible. Can't beat a wood/charcoal smoked meat !

That sucks.........Hope you get it fixed soon.............Great looking grub anyways.............Maybe CC will just send you a whole new camp vault.......

Well since I posted , I found out that ya live in NYC, so I guess charcoal, or wood is out. Sorry for your rough luck with the propane smoker. Hope they get ya figured out, and the price is right!

Dang it Ron...sorry about the smoker. I'd sure let you use one of mine.

Your smoke today sure looks good!!

Ya'all are talking about his broken smoker, but he cooked a bunch of good Qview on it---I am confused?????

Sounds like a governmental conspiracy so people have to spend more money ! Spend money or don't eat . Tuff break Ron , good luck on your repairs .

sorry to hear that Ron,is there a way to plug your orfices and spray soapy water on the burner to see if cracked?than have it brazed if cc don't come through-just a thought.q-view looks good for the last supper.(sorry)

Not that I am reccomending anything, but I know of folks that would buy another one and put the old one in the box and return it if they didn't still have the first box and paper work!

It seems a shame that you are trying in good faith to fix "their" problem and you aren't getting the help you should.

Been there, done that, won some, lost some.

Poor Ron, dump the gasser and build a Drum smoker!
Ca'nt quit smokin cause your gasser died!

Then again, seems like this is becoming the oven forum anyways so your still in good shape.

I does sound like your sucking in some extra air if your flames are yellow. Does it start off blue then yellows up after warms up?

desertlites's suggestion would find the crack. Ask the company to send you out a new burner. Nothing else left!

It starts out a little blue in the beginning but after it warms up it goes solid orange.

It does sound more like a crack or leak in the burner. Hole gets bigger as things warm and expand, sucking in more air. Maybe they will ship you out a replacement burner.
