Hello all. I have a Lang 48 patio model. 95% of my cooking is done on the bottom rack. Just curious on what other Lang owners are doing out there? Are cooking bottom or top rack? I think I will be doing some test cooks on the top when I get a chance to. Just looking to see what others results are. Thanks in advance.

I am interested in this as well. I have a 36 and I do what I think is an unusual set up. I mostly just do small cooks so I don't need a ton of space. I felt that the top rack was too hot and the radiant heat from the plate was too hot on the bottom rack. I put a firebrick in each corner of the cook chamber and then I stacked all of the racks on top. That only leaves me one usable rack to put food on, but it gets the food elevated off of the bottom rack and keeps it lower than if I were cooking on the top rack.

On my 84 I prefer cooking on the top rack. Meat gets better color. I’ve been contemplating dropping my stack another few inches to get it down to the middle of the CC. Not sure how much help it will really do. Going to try a temporary shortly.

I haven't found much difference on which rack with my 84
